"Egy dolgot utálok nagyon - unatkozni az órán!"

Challenge 5

Dear Volunteers,

Congratulations! You are at the end of your first adventures. Now you are in the jungle, very close to Mowgli, the man-cub.

The animals of the jungle are all around you. Get to know a bit more about them from Buldeo, an elderly storyteller from an Indian village. He speaks about his earlier life to a British visitor. He speaks about the dangers of the jungle and the animals living in it.

While watching the first 10 minutes of the film based on Kipling’s The Jungle Book made in 1942 find out which words belong to each picture.

1 the eaters of grass in a world of torn flesh

2 it lives by the law of claw and horn and fang he will kill for hunger, never kill for killing’s sake

3 the lords of the jungle

4 the true hunters of the jungle

5 the wisest, the teacher of the jungle law among jungle folks

  6 it knows no law

7 the prince of the jungle, as bold as a buffalo, as reckless as a wounded elephant

  8 the killer, the man-eater

  9 the barky

10 hungry for the scraps of the murderous masters’ feast

11 the oracle who taught mother Eve the speech men use for trickery and sin

12 the Bandar-Logs, the outcasts of the jungle
